As a Forum of Ideas, it organizes seminars and conventions that feature experts from the cocoa industry and the different government agencies. These fora serve as venue for active discussions and fair resolution of issues that impact on the industry. The conventions also serve as forum of ideas for domestic and foreign experts where achievement, gains and concerns are synthesized as input in directing globally oriented plans and programs. It also serves as venue for the cocoa industry sub-sectors to identify business opportunities and strengthen market linkages.
As Promotion Vehicle, the Foundation participates in various trade fairs, exhibitions and conferences to promote increased domestic and export sales of cocoa products. The Foundation mounts generic promotion projects in local and international trade exhibitions in the context of giving its members equal opportunity to link up with buyers and/or opening gateways for market opportunities and technology exchange. The Foundation also organizes trade missions to explore new export market opportunities and find ways to strengthen industry foothold in existing ones.
As an Advocate for Industry Development Concerns, the Foundation maintains active involvement and promotes close ties with the Philippine government, domestic and international development institutions, and foreign private sector counterparts. The Cocoaphil is a proud member of the World Cocoa
Foundation
(WCF) and is an active member of the ASEAN Cocoa Club - an organization of cocoa industry focal groups in the ASEAN to foster cooperation and mutual growth and development.
